In short: we use one piece of strictly necessary storage to remember your choices. Anything optional stays off until you say yes.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels and scripts. In this policy, "cookies" refers to all of these. This Cookie Policy explains how my-roadster.us (the "Site") uses them and supplements our Privacy Policy.
How we use cookies
We keep things minimal. The Site does not use advertising cookies, and it does not set any optional cookies before you give consent. We group technologies into three categories:
| Category | Purpose | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Make the Site work, keep it secure and remember your privacy choices. | Always on |
| Analytics | Help us understand in aggregate which pages are visited and how the Site performs. | Off until you opt in |
| Marketing | Would measure the reach of our own campaigns. Treated as "sale/sharing" for opt-out purposes. | Off until you opt in; always off with GPC |
Technologies we use
| Name | Provider | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
mr_consent | My Roadster (first party) | Local storage — strictly necessary | Stores your cookie choices and whether a GPC signal was detected. | 12 months |
| Web fonts | My Roadster (self-hosted) | Browser cache — strictly necessary for display | Delivers the Site's typefaces from our own server. No cookies are set and no data is sent to third parties. | Per your browser cache settings |
We currently do not run any analytics or marketing tools. If we add one, we will list it in this table, it will load only after you opt in to the relevant category, and we will update the "Last updated" date above.
Managing your preferences
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject optional or customize your choices. Rejecting is as easy as accepting. You can change your mind any time by selecting "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page, or here:
Your choice is remembered for 12 months, after which we will ask again.
Browser controls
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site data in their settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage means we cannot remember your choices, so the banner may reappear. Useful guides:
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we automatically treat it as an opt-out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising. Marketing technologies are switched off and cannot be enabled from that browser while the signal is active.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the technologies we use or when the law changes. The "Last updated" date shows when it was last revised.
